My God is Bigger Than a Boogie Man

I was watching veggie tales the other day, something I do often, and was thinking about the song that Junior sings about God being bigger than the boogie man. I used to sing this to a little boy I babysat as he was afraid of the monsters under his bed. As adults we all have monsters or boogie men that we are afraid of. The bills that are waiting to get paid, the sickness that plague us, fears, anger, and so many other things that haunt our days and terrorize our nights. I had a dream about how I was going to make enough money to pay my bills the other day and thought, what has it come to? Where I fear my future. God is bigger than all of that. He says to cast all of our burdens onto him. To lean not on our own understanding. "God is bigger than the boogie man. He bigger than Godzilla or the monsters on TV. Oh God is bigger than the boogie man. And He is watching over you and me." So as I am fretting over where the money is going to come from or how I can live with the grief of the loss of a child I will remember that God is taking care of me. That He sees all and can handle it all. I just have to trust Him.
